Hi, I’m Andrea.
I’m married and I am a Mum to 3 daughters and live in Rugby, Warwickshire.
I am CIPD qualified and hold a Level 6 qualification in career guidance and development.
I have also achieved a CDI Professional Certificate in Supporting Clients with Additional Needs and also hold a Level 3 Assessing qualification {Assessing Competence in the Work Environment}.
I have over 9 years of experience in working with young people from the ages of 11-19 in Mainstream, Special Educational Needs or Disabilities and Mental Health settings.
My background
Initially, I started my career as a Civilian in the Police Force at 19 years old, before starting a career in Human Resources where I worked in numerous sectors from Travel and Tourism to Creative Media and doing generalist HR roles.
Since having my own children {2 of which are teenagers now}, I really wanted to transfer my HR skills to help our next generation and help them to understand the skills needed throughout all aspects of their life and to prepare them for adulthood.
I therefore moved into the Education Sector and transferred my recruitment and people skills to help young people to prepare for their next steps, whether that be further, higher education, training or employment.
It’s not always about having a clear and defined path for the future. In fact, you can see from my background, that I have had completely different roles before getting to where I am now.
It is easier to take things step by step and I would love to help anyone who may need a little helping hand with this.
